The defensive line for the Jayhawks was unyielding, achieving two sacks and five tackles for loss among other notable stats. Dean Miller and Jereme Robinson emerged as key figures in this defensive stronghold, each securing a sack and playing pivotal roles in stifling Lindenwood's offense. Miller's efforts led to an eight-yard loss for Lindenwood due to sacks, with Robinson contributing an additional four yards lost. Mello Dotson also made his presence felt by executing six tackles and intercepting a pass which he returned for 33 yards, culminating in a touchdown.

On the offensive front, quarterback Jalon Daniels showcased his skills by throwing for 148 yards at a completion rate of 60 percent and scoring one touchdown despite one interception. Cole Ballard complemented these efforts admirably by completing over 83 percent of his passes for 51 yards and adding another touchdown to the tally. The ground game was spearheaded by Devin Neal who racked up an impressive total of 112 yards from just eight carries and crossed into the end zone twice.

The special teams unit contributed significantly as well; kicker Tabor Allen hit six out of seven extra-point attempts with precision. Additionally, Kansas demonstrated impeccable efficiency within red zone situations, converting all five attempts into scores.

As they look forward, the Kansas Jayhawks are gearing up for their next challenge against the Illinois Fighting Illini at Memorial Stadium in Champaign on September 7th at 7:00 PM EDT.
