Jayhawks Narrowly Miss Victory at Bill Snyder Family Stadium Against Wildcats

Game Highlights


The game was a showcase of determination and skill from both teams. The Jayhawks' offense accumulated a total of 401 yards, with significant contributions coming from their rushing attack which accounted for 192 yards. Quarterback Jalon Daniels led the charge with 209 passing yards, completing 58 percent of his attempts including one touchdown pass and an interception. His performance on the ground was equally impressive as he rushed for 66 yards and scored one touchdown.


Sevion Morrison and Devin Neal were standout performers in the rushing department for Kansas. Morrison dazzled with an average of 15 yards per carry, totaling 45 yards and scoring once on just three attempts. Neal added another dimension to the Jayhawks' ground game by contributing 66 rushing yards on thirteen carries and finding his way into the end zone once.


On defense, Jereme Robinson made his presence felt by recording one sack and forcing a fumble, showcasing his ability to disrupt plays in the backfield. Marvin Grant also contributed significantly to defensive efforts by notching two tackles alongside two quarterback hits and defending one pass.

Despite their valiant effort, penalties proved costly for Kansas as they conceded five penalties amounting to twenty-five penalty yards which impacted crucial moments in the game.
