The rushing attack saw DJ Giddens as its leader; he rushed for 50 yards on seventeen attempts finding his way into the end zone once which accounted for one of Kansas State's two touchdowns during this matchup.


Special teams played their part too where Chris Tennant successfully converted both field goal attempts he made, with his longest being from 47 yards out contributing crucial points to keep Kansas State competitive throughout this encounter.
