Wildcats' Offensive Showcase


The Wildcats' quarterback Brock Vandagriff led the charge with an impressive performance, throwing for 237 yards with a completion rate of 71 percent. His precision and control under center were pivotal in navigating the Kentucky offense downfield against a resilient Ohio defense. Demie Sumo-Karngbaye also made significant contributions to the rushing attack with two touchdowns and 47 yards on twelve attempts. His ability to find gaps in the defense played a crucial role in maintaining momentum for Kentucky. Wide receiver Dane Key was Vandagriff's favorite target through the air, racking up 145 receiving yards on seven catches. Key's ability to create separation and make big plays was evident throughout the match.

Bobcats Struggle Against Dominant Wildcats


The Ohio Bobcats faced challenges on both sides of the ball but managed moments of resilience despite being overwhelmed by Kentucky's offensive prowess. Their lone touchdown came late in the game as they struggled to penetrate Kentucky's defensive line consistently.


Maxwell Hairston’s interception return for a touchdown highlighted an aggressive defensive effort from Kentucky that contributed directly to scoring opportunities. Special teams also played their part efficiently; kicker Alex Raynor successfully converted both field goal attempts from within 39 yards adding another dimension to Kentucky’s comprehensive performance.
