The Liberty Flames stand at 3-0 after a dominant performance over the Hampton Pirates, who now hold a record of 1-2. The final score read an impressive 62-27 in favor of the home team.

Liberty Lady Flames VS Randolph Wildcats

In front of a crowd of 18,944 at Williams Stadium, the Liberty Flames showcased their offensive might by amassing a total of 560 yards. The Flames' rushing attack was particularly effective, churning out 256 yards on the ground with an average gain per attempt close to seven yards. This relentless ground game led to six touchdowns, including one remarkable run that went for 75 yards straight into the end zone.

Through the air, Liberty's passing game was equally efficient. Quarterback play resulted in two touchdowns and contributed significantly to their total yardage with passes covering as much as 73 yards on single plays. The receiving corps caught everything thrown their way, totaling ten receptions and matching their longest touchdown distance with another play covering exactly 73 yards.

Special teams also played a role in this comprehensive victory for the Flames. Although no punts were blocked or returned for touchdowns, they managed to pin down Hampton inside their own twenty-yard line three times out of four attempts.

Defensively, Liberty made its presence felt by sacking Hampton's quarterback twice and limiting them to just six points during both second and fourth quarters combined. An interception return added another touchdown for the defense after running back an impressive distance of 45 yards.

The efficiency within scoring range was perfect; every time they entered red zone territory they scored without fail – four attempts resulting in four successes – showcasing clinical finishing when it mattered most.

Looking ahead, fans can mark their calendars for September 28th when the Liberty Flames will face off against New Mexico Lobos at Williams Stadium once again. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM local time and those unable to attend can catch all the action live on ESPN+.
