The LSU Tigers come into this game with a notable performance in their previous outing on January 2nd at the same venue where they will meet the Seminoles. Dominating Purdue Boilermakers with an overwhelming 63-7 victory, the Tigers showcased an offense that could hardly be contained and a defense that was nearly impenetrable. With 589 total yards of offense and nine touchdowns scored, including four each from passing and rushing plays, it's clear that when LSU gets rolling, they can be unstoppable.

Their passing game was particularly impressive as they completed 71 percent of their passes for 369 yards and four touchdowns. The ground game was equally effective; rushing for 220 yards on just 31 attempts demonstrates their ability to break through defensive lines with ease.

However, it wasn't just about offense; LSU's defense sacked Purdue's quarterback four times and recorded three interceptions – one returned for a touchdown. This level of defensive prowess will need to be replicated against FSU if they hope to secure another win.

On December 3rd against Georgia Bulldogs – one of college football’s powerhouses – LSU did suffer a setback despite racking up an impressive total yardage of 549 yards. They lost by a score of 50-30 but showed resilience by scoring four touchdowns against arguably one of the best defenses in college football last season.

Earlier in November (27th), when facing Texas A&M Aggies at Kyle Field, things didn't go as planned either; despite accumulating over five hundred yards once again (384), turnovers proved costly leading to a defeat with a scoreline reading Texas A&M Aggies:38 - LSU Tigers:23.

These mixed results indicate that while the offensive capabilities are there for all to see – averaging over eight yards per play across these games – consistency remains key. Turnovers have been an Achilles heel which needs addressing before taking on FSU who will undoubtedly pose threats across all fronts.

The Florida State Seminoles themselves cannot be underestimated; any team going head-to-head with them must respect their ability to capitalize on mistakes while also being wary of their own offensive arsenal which can strike from anywhere on the field.

As we look ahead towards September third’s clash under Orlando’s lights at half past seven PM Eastern Time (ET), fans should expect nothing less than fireworks between these two collegiate titans. For those unable or unwilling to brave what promises to be an electric atmosphere within Camping World Stadium itself - ABC will broadcast this encounter live ensuring no one misses out on what could very well prove one of college football’s games of the season.
