Tigers' Offensive Prowess


The LSU Tigers showcased their offensive might throughout the game. Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier was instrumental in this display, completing 32 out of 44 pass attempts for an impressive total of 352 yards. His performance included three touchdown passes and no interceptions, contributing significantly to the team's success on the day. Nussmeier's connection with his receivers was evident as eight different players caught passes during the game.


Running back Josh Williams led the ground attack for LSU, rushing for 62 yards on 13 carries and scoring one touchdown. His longest run of the day covered 23 yards, highlighting his ability to break through UCLA's defense when needed. Kaleb Jackson and Caden Durham also contributed to LSU’s rushing efforts with combined yardage that kept drives alive and time ticking off the clock.


Defensive Dominance


On defense, LSU was equally impressive. The team tallied five sacks against UCLA’s quarterbacks and forced one interception by safety Jardin Gilbert which halted potential scoring drives by UCLA. Bradyn Swinson stood out on defense with two sacks and three quarterback hits himself, disrupting UCLA’s offensive rhythm throughout the game.


Special teams played their part as well; kicker Damian Ramos successfully converted two field goals from within forty yards out adding crucial points on board for LSU.
