Terrapins Narrowly Outscored at SECU Stadium in Football Showdown Against Wolverines

The Maryland Terrapins, with a record of 6-5, faced off against the undefeated Michigan Wolverines at SECU Stadium in a closely contested game that ended 24-31. The Terrapins' efforts were not enough to overcome the Wolverines' lead, despite both teams showcasing their determination on the field.

In front of a crowd of 49,546 spectators, the Maryland Terrapins demonstrated resilience and tactical execution throughout the game. The home team's defense managed to sack Michigan's quarterback once for a loss of seven yards and recorded an interception that was returned for eleven yards. This interception was one of three turnovers by the Terrapins during the game.


The offense had its moments as well; although they did not score through passing, they found success on the ground with three rushing touchdowns. The running game saw thirty-three attempts but was limited to fifteen total yards due to staunch defense by Michigan. On offense, Maryland completed twenty-one passes for 247 yards but suffered two interceptions which proved costly against such high-caliber opposition as Michigan.

As for Michigan Wolverines' performance, their scoring began strong in the first quarter with sixteen points while limiting Maryland to just three points. They maintained their lead throughout all four quarters despite being outscored by Maryland fourteen to six in the third quarter.
