First Quarter

The game began evenly, as both teams scored 7 points in the first quarter. The Terps' offense was led by quarterback Malik Washington, who completed 27 of his 43 pass attempts for a total of 258 yards and three touchdowns. His precision passing set the tone early on, allowing Maryland to keep pace with FAU's initial drive.

Second Quarter

The second quarter saw Maryland's defense take control of the game. The Terps shut out FAU while scoring an impressive 26 points themselves. Key defensive plays included interceptions by La'khi Roland and Daniel Wingate, who returned one interception for a touchdown. This defensive prowess stifled any momentum FAU hoped to build.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, Maryland continued to dominate defensively and added another six points to their tally through efficient field goal kicking by Sean O'Haire, who made all three of his attempts from distances up to 49 yards. Bryce McFerson also contributed significantly on special teams with an average punt distance of over 50 yards.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter saw no additional scoring from either team as Maryland maintained its stronghold over FAU's offense. The Terps' defense ended the game having recorded six interceptions in total and one safety courtesy of Sidney Stewart’s impactful play.

This comprehensive performance showcased not only offensive efficiency but also defensive resilience from Maryland Terrapins post-match stats perspective.
