First Quarter

The game began with both teams showing determination. The Terps managed to put up an early field goal by Sean O'Haire, who successfully converted from 24 yards out. However, the Hoosiers quickly responded with a touchdown drive that set the tone for their offensive dominance throughout the game.

Second Quarter

In this period, Maryland's defense struggled to contain Indiana's relentless attack. Despite efforts from players like Carlton Smith and Sidney Stewart on defense, who combined for several tackles and half a sack each, the Terps couldn't prevent two more touchdowns by IU. This left them trailing significantly as they headed into halftime.

Third Quarter

Maryland showed some resilience in this quarter when Malik Washington connected with DeJuan Williams for an impressive 55-yard touchdown pass—the longest play of their game—bringing some hope to Terrapin fans. Unfortunately for Maryland, Indiana continued their scoring spree with three touchdowns of their own during this period.

Fourth Quarter

As fatigue set in and turnovers mounted—three fumbles lost by key players including Jahmari Powell-Wonson—the Terps found it increasingly difficult to mount any comeback against IU’s well-coordinated offense led by Andrew Barker's precise passing game. The final quarter saw two more touchdowns added by Indiana sealing Maryland’s fate.

Despite valiant individual performances such as Jamare Glasker's interception return of 32 yards and Dillan Fontus' defensive efforts totaling seven tackles, it was not enough to turn things around for Maryland on home turf.
