Clash at Cramton Bowl: Memphis Tigers vs Florida Atlantic Owls in Football Showdown

As the Memphis Tigers gear up to face the Florida Atlantic Owls at the historic Cramton Bowl, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying game of football. The Tigers, coming off a nail-biting victory against the Houston Cougars on December 12th with a score of 30-27, are looking to carry that momentum into their upcoming match.

The previous game showcased the Tigers' resilience and ability to perform under pressure. With a total yardage of 299 and an average gain of about 4 yards per play, they demonstrated a balanced offensive strategy. The passing game was particularly effective, contributing significantly with two touchdowns and a completion percentage rounding up to 63 percent. Defensively, they managed one interception and one fumble recovery that led directly to points on the board.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for MEM; their rushing attack struggled against HOU's defense, averaging just over 2 yards per carry. This is an area where they will need significant improvement when facing FAU's defensive line.

Looking back further into their season reveals some inconsistencies in MEM's performance. On December 5th against Tulane Green Wave, despite accumulating more total yards (281), they fell short by two touchdowns (21-35). Their rushing attempts yielded only about 1.6 yards per carry – another indication that this facet of their offense needs bolstering.

In contrast, during their November 29th encounter with Navy Midshipmen which resulted in a low-scoring win (10-7), MEM showed defensive prowess by limiting NAVY to just seven points but again faltered in establishing a strong running game.

The upcoming battle at Cramton Bowl will require MEM to tighten up its ground game while maintaining its passing efficiency if it hopes to outmaneuver FAU's defense. Given recent performances and statistics from past games this season – especially considering FAU’s home-field advantage – it would be reasonable for fans to expect an intense contest where every possession counts.

MEM supporters should mark their calendars for December 24th when these two teams collide under the lights at Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl at midnight Eastern Time (ET). Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN channel number 206 as both teams vie for victory in what could be one of the most thrilling games this season.
