Florida Atlantic Owls VS Memphis Tigers

The Tigers' offense was on full display as they amassed a total of 469 yards with an average gain of nearly seven yards per play. Their passing game was particularly effective; quarterback play resulted in three touchdowns and an impressive completion percentage of approximately 65 percent for a total of 284 passing yards. The longest pass completed stretched for an impressive 51 yards, contributing significantly to their aerial success.

On the ground, Memphis maintained a strong rushing attack with a total of 185 yards on 35 attempts. This effort was highlighted by their longest run covering a distance of twenty-two yards and achieving thirteen first downs through rushing alone. Despite not scoring any rushing touchdowns, their ability to move the chains played a crucial role in controlling the game's tempo.

Special teams also contributed with one successful field goal from beyond fifty yards out, although one attempt did miss its mark. Kickoff duties were handled efficiently as well; five kickoffs resulted in three touchbacks and seventy-five return yards allowed.

Defensively, The Tigers were able to apply pressure resulting in two sacks and six tackles for loss while also securing one interception which they returned for one yard. They recovered one fumble as well but lost two fumbles themselves during the course of action.

Penalties were kept relatively low with only five infractions costing them forty-one penalty yards throughout the entire encounter. This disciplined approach ensured that momentum swings due to penalties were minimized.

The Owls managed ten points against The Tigers' defense but struggled overall against their opponent's assertive performance on both sides of the ball. They scored all ten points during the third quarter but failed to sustain that momentum into the fourth quarter where neither team added points to their tally.

As fans reflect on this solid performance by The Memphis Tigers at Cramton Bowl under artificial lights before nearly three thousand attendees, they can look forward with anticipation to future broadcasts detailing upcoming games as this season progresses.
