Memphis Tigers Edge Out South Florida Bulls at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in American Football Showdown

In a closely contested game, the Memphis Tigers improved their season to 6-1 while the South Florida Bulls fell to 1-7. The final score was a nail-biting 34-33 in favor of the home team, the Memphis Tigers.

The Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium witnessed an intense battle where the Memphis Tigers showcased their offensive capabilities against the South Florida Bulls. The home team's passing game was particularly effective, with a total of 437 yards gained through air and four touchdowns scored via pass, including a remarkable longest touchdown pass of 65 yards. The quarterback's performance was stellar with a rating of 155.82 and completing 60 percent of his attempts.


The rushing offense added another dimension to the game for the Memphis Tigers, contributing with an average gain per rush attempt at approximately three yards over thirty-three attempts. Although no touchdowns were recorded on ground, six first downs were achieved through rushing efforts.

Special teams also played a crucial role for the Memphis Tigers as they successfully converted two field goals with one being notably long at 52 yards. Both field goal attempts found their mark ensuring a perfect conversion rate for points attempted through kicks.


Defensively, while no interceptions were made by either side during this encounter, it is worth noting that three sacks contributed significantly to halting drives by the South Florida Bulls' offense. These sacks resulted in seventeen lost yards for them and demonstrated an aggressive defensive stance by the home team.

Penalties could have been costly but remained relatively controlled as only six penalties were committed by each side throughout this contest; however, these did result in fifty-three penalty yards against them which could have been decisive in such a close game.


As fans look forward to future games after such an exciting performance from their team, they can anticipate another opportunity to support their beloved Memphis Tigers as they travel away from home turf next week. The upcoming challenge will be against Navy Midshipmen at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium located in Annapolis on November 14th at around 3:30 PM local time (EST).
