Memphis Tigers Face Off Against Mississippi State Bulldogs at Davis Wade Stadium in American Football Showdown

In an intense American football game at Davis Wade Stadium, the Memphis Tigers showcased their offensive skills despite falling to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Tigers' offense accumulated a total of 294 yards throughout the game. Their rushing attack was particularly effective, with a notable performance that included a remarkable 50-yard touchdown run contributing to their overall tally of two rushing touchdowns and six first downs from running plays.


The passing game for Memphis also had its moments, completing 19 out of 30 attempts for a total of 165 yards through the air. This included one passing touchdown and five first downs achieved via receptions. The longest pass completion was an impressive gain of 43 yards.


Special teams played their part as well; Memphis successfully converted all kicking opportunities presented during the game. They made one field goal from within the range of forty-nine yards and completed both attempted extra points after touchdowns.


Defensively, while facing strong opposition from Mississippi State's offense which put up significant numbers on their home turf, Memphis managed to secure one interception without allowing any return yardage on it. Penalties were relatively controlled by both teams; however, Memphis incurred eight penalties totaling forty-four yards lost due to infractions. On special teams returns front, kick returners managed to bring back kicks for an average gain per attempt just under twenty yards over six returns with no touchdowns scored but did include one fair catch.
