The Memphis Tigers continued their strong start to the season with a decisive 38-16 victory over the Georgia State Panthers at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta. First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams trading blows, with Georgia State initially taking a slight lead. The Panthers managed to score 9 points against Memphis's 7, showcasing some early offensive prowess. However, it was clear that the Tigers were just warming up.

Second Quarter

Memphis began asserting its dominance in the second quarter. Brendon Lewis led an efficient passing attack that helped secure an additional 10 points for his team while limiting Georgia State to just one touchdown. Lewis completed 80 percent of his passes for a total of 196 yards throughout the game, demonstrating precision and control.

Third Quarter

The third quarter was where Memphis truly shone defensively and offensively. The Tigers scored two touchdowns without allowing any points from their opponents. DeMarco Ward's interception return for a touchdown highlighted this period as he capitalized on a rare mistake by Georgia State's offense.

Fourth Quarter

In the final quarter, Memphis sealed their victory with another touchdown while keeping Georgia State scoreless once again. Sutton Smith contributed significantly on offense with his rushing abilities, accumulating 74 yards and scoring one of four rushing touchdowns for Memphis during this game.

Overall, it was an impressive display by both sides of the ball for Memphis as they maintained control throughout most parts of play despite some early resistance from Georgia State’s offense.

As fans digest these performances through post-game thoughts about how well-rounded this team appears so far into its campaign; many will be eager looking forward towards what lies ahead next week when they face off against Troy Trojans at Veterans Memorial Stadium (AL) scheduled September 13th at noon EDT broadcasted live via ESPNU network channel number satellite:208!
