Hard Rock Stadium Hosts Miami (FL) Hurricanes and Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders in Football Showdown

The Miami (FL) Hurricanes, with a record of 5-7, faced off against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, who held an 8-5 record. The final score was 45-31 in favor of the visiting team.

The game at Hard Rock Stadium saw the home team, the Hurricanes, put up a valiant effort but ultimately fall short against the Blue Raiders. The Hurricanes' offense managed to accumulate a total of 367 yards with an average gain of 4.1 yards per play over 89 plays. Despite their efforts on offense, they turned over the ball three times which included two interceptions and one lost fumble.


The passing game for the Hurricanes was active throughout as they attempted 51 passes with a completion percentage rounding to 51 percent for a total of 307 yards and one touchdown pass that covered six yards. However, this aerial attack was slightly offset by three sacks allowed for a loss of nineteen yards.


On the ground, Miami (FL) struggled to find consistent success as they rushed thirty-eight times for only sixty yards; however, they did manage to score two rushing touchdowns with their longest run being fourteen yards. Their red zone efficiency stood at sixty percent from five attempts while their third-down conversion rate was thirty-five percent from twenty attempts.


Special teams contributed notably with one kickoff return touchdown that spanned an impressive ninety-one yards out of eight returns totaling two hundred fifty-six return yards. The kicking unit also performed flawlessly by converting all four extra-point attempts and making their sole field goal attempt from thirty-nine yards out.


Defensively, Miami (FL) recorded two sacks and six tackles for loss while also securing one interception without any return yardage attached to it. They were disciplined throughout most of the game as evidenced by only four penalties amounting to fifteen penalty-yards assessed against them.


Looking ahead after this tough encounter at home, fans can anticipate seeing their team back in action when Miami (FL) Hurricanes host North Carolina Tar Heels at Hard Rock Stadium on October eighth at eight PM Eastern Time.
