Miami (FL) Hurricanes Blow Past Syracuse Orange with Defensive Storm

The Miami (FL) Hurricanes improved their record to 7-2 after a commanding performance against the Syracuse Orange, who now stand at 3-7. The game concluded with a decisive score of 38-10 in favor of the 'Canes, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball.

First Quarter


The opening quarter saw both teams locked in a defensive battle, with neither side managing to put points on the board. The 'Canes defense set the tone early by forcing three-and-outs and applying pressure on Syracuse's offense.


Second Quarter


Miami broke through in the second quarter, scoring 14 points while keeping Syracuse scoreless. Carson Beck led an efficient passing attack, completing 18 out of 24 passes for 247 yards and one touchdown. Keelan Marion was instrumental during this period, hauling in a crucial pass that set up one of Miami's touchdowns.


Third Quarter


The third quarter saw Miami extend their lead further by adding another 17 points to their tally while allowing only a field goal from Syracuse. Akheem Mesidor was pivotal for Miami’s defense with his relentless pursuit resulting in multiple sacks and forced fumbles that stifled any momentum from the Orange.


Fourth Quarter


In the final quarter, both teams managed to find the end zone once more. Girard Pringle Jr.'s rushing prowess was evident as he dashed into the end zone for one of his team's two rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, Keionte Scott showcased his defensive skills by intercepting a pass and returning it for an impressive touchdown.
