First Quarter

The game kicked off with the Spartans taking an early lead. Aidan Chiles set the tone for Michigan State's offense with his precise passing, completing 22 out of 29 attempts for a total of 270 yards. His efforts were complemented by a touchdown pass to tight end Michael Masunas, who made an impressive catch for a gain of 28 yards.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams exchanged blows as Youngstown State managed to put points on the board through strategic plays. However, Michigan State's kicker Martin Connington maintained his perfect record by converting two field goals from within the twenty-nine-yard range. The Green and White defense also held strong, limiting Youngstown's opportunities and forcing them into difficult positions.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw Michigan State extend their lead further with effective rushing plays led by Brandon Tullis and Elijah Tau-Tolliver. Tullis contributed significantly with a rushing touchdown while Tau-Tolliver showcased his agility on a remarkable twenty-two-yard run into the end zone. The Spartan defense continued to apply pressure on Youngstown’s offense, highlighted by Jordan Hall’s sack that disrupted their momentum.

Fourth Quarter

As the game progressed into its final stages in East Lansing at Spartan Stadium, Aidan Chiles demonstrated his dual-threat capability by adding significant yardage through both air and ground attacks. Despite an interception earlier in play, he remained composed under pressure which allowed Michigan State to control possession effectively during crucial moments.
