The Michigan Wolverines showcased their offensive skills by amassing a total of 410 yards throughout the game. The rushing attack contributed significantly with 141 yards on 41 attempts and three touchdowns, with one rush reaching as far as 14 yards and their longest touchdown being a solid run of 12 yards. The passing game also had its moments, accumulating an impressive total of 276 passing yards from 41 attempts and completing over half at a rate of approximately 59 percent completion.

Despite these efforts, turnovers played a role in shaping the outcome; the Wolverines suffered one interception during their offensive drives. Penalties were relatively controlled with only eight infractions for a loss of just under fifty yards.

The special teams had varied success; while they did not block any punts nor return any for touchdowns, they managed to keep five punt returns to an average gain below three yards per return. Their field goal unit struggled though, missing their sole attempt from beyond fifty yards.

Defensively speaking, Michigan's defense applied pressure resulting in two sacks and six tackles for loss but failed to force any fumbles or interceptions throughout four quarters.

As for efficiency on critical downs – red zone conversions were successful seventy-five percent of times when within scoring distance but only achieved fifty percent success on goal-to-go situations. Third-down conversions were made forty-one percent of times which helped sustain drives but fourth-down conversions sat at an even fifty percent rate.

On the other side, Penn State capitalized on opportunities presented during each quarter except for one where they did not score any points against Michigan's defense.

Looking ahead after this tough encounter at Beaver Stadium, fans can anticipate another exciting home game for the Michigan Wolverines as they prepare to face Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. This upcoming contest is scheduled for October twenty-sixth at seven thirty PM Eastern Time and will be broadcasted live on ABC network channels – offering Wolverine supporters another chance to rally behind their team under autumn lights.
