In front of a crowd of 17,299 at Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium, the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders secured a hard-fought victory over the Florida Atlantic Owls. The home team's offense amassed a total of 391 yards with an average gain of approximately five yards per play. The Blue Raiders' passing game was particularly effective; they completed 27 out of 40 attempts for 259 yards and one touchdown pass that covered one yard. Their rushing attack added another dimension to their offense as they gained 137 yards on the ground over 36 attempts and scored two touchdowns, with the longest rush being a significant gain of 29 yards.

The receiving corps played an integral role in moving the chains for Middle Tennessee by catching balls for first downs on fifteen occasions and achieving an average of about ten yards per reception. The efficiency inside the red zone was impeccable as well; all three trips resulted in touchdowns.

Special teams had mixed results throughout the game. While kickoffs yielded one touchback from five attempts totaling to around fifty return yards against them, field goal kicking proved less reliable with only one successful attempt from three tries – though it should be noted that one attempt was blocked.

Defensively, Middle Tennessee showed resilience by securing an interception and recovering a fumble while limiting penalties to just three for twenty-nine total penalty yards assessed against them.

As fans look ahead to future games, they can anticipate watching their team take on Marshall Thundering Herd at Joan C. Edwards Stadium located in Huntington on October fifth at six thirty PM Eastern Time broadcasted on CBS Sports Network. This upcoming contest promises to be another opportunity for the Blue Raiders to display their competitive spirit away from home turf.
