Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Face Off Against Alabama Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium in College Football Showdown

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, with a record of 0-1, faced a challenging game against the Alabama Crimson Tide, who now boast a 1-0 record. The final score stood at 7-56 in favor of the home team.

At Bryant-Denny Stadium, with over 100,000 fans in attendance, the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders struggled to keep pace with the formidable Alabama Crimson Tide. The Blue Raiders managed to accumulate a total of 211 yards during the game but were hindered by two turnovers and nine penalties amounting to 84 yards. Despite these setbacks, they showed determination on defense with two sacks and four tackles for loss.


The offensive unit for the Blue Raiders had moments of effectiveness but ultimately could not sustain drives against a stout Crimson Tide defense. They completed an impressive 68 percent of their passes for a total of 133 yards and scored one touchdown through the air. However, they were limited to an average gain of just three and half yards per play over sixty-one plays.

On special teams, Middle Tennessee's punting unit worked hard throughout the game averaging fifty yards across eight attempts with two punts landing inside the twenty-yard line. Their longest punt traveled fifty-nine yards while netting an average of forty-one and half yards per punt after returns were factored in.


The lone touchdown for Middle Tennessee came from their passing attack which also accounted for seven first downs; however, their rushing efforts yielded seventy-eight total rushing yards without reaching the end zone despite five first downs gained on the ground.
