Key Performances and Tactical Insights

Nicholas Vattiato, quarterback for the Blue Raiders, delivered an impressive performance by completing 69 percent of his passes for a total of 297 yards and two touchdowns. His efforts were highlighted by a long touchdown pass of 61 yards, showcasing his ability to threaten deep downfield. On the receiving end, Omari Kelly emerged as Vattiato's top target with eight receptions for 128 yards. His contribution was pivotal in maintaining offensive momentum for Middle Tennessee.

In addition to their passing game success, Jaiden Credle led the rushing attack with 39 yards on eight attempts. Although the ground game struggled overall with only 67 total rushing yards across all carriers, Credle's performance provided some balance to their offensive strategy.

Defensively, Xavier Williams stood out with a team-high eight tackles and five assists. Despite these individual efforts leading to two sacks and one forced fumble by Damonte Smith and Brandon Buckner respectively, it wasn't enough to slow down Jacksonville State's offense which managed to put up forty-two points.
