Mississippi State Bulldogs Dominate at Davis Wade Stadium in Football Game Against Southeastern Louisiana Lions

In a commanding display of football, the Mississippi State Bulldogs improved their season record to 4-4 with a resounding 48-7 victory over the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. The home team's offense was unstoppable, amassing a total of 525 yards and scoring six touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Lions struggled to find their footing, ending the game with a record of 1-7.

The Bulldogs' offensive unit was on fire from the start, with an impressive passing game that resulted in two touchdowns and zero interceptions. The quarterback completed 20 out of 29 passes for a total of 227 yards and achieved an outstanding passer rating of nearly 158. On the ground, Mississippi State was equally dominant, rushing for almost 300 yards across just 39 attempts which included three rushing touchdowns – one being an explosive run spanning more than half the field at 53 yards.


Special teams also contributed significantly to Mississippi State's dominance. A punt return touchdown added to their tally while both field goal attempts were successful from beyond forty yards out. The kicking game remained strong throughout as well; eight kickoffs traveled over five hundred total yards.

Defensively, Mississippi State held firm against any advances by Southeastern Louisiana. Three sacks were recorded by Bulldog defenders who also forced two fumbles during the course of play – recovering one themselves – and blocked one special teams play.
