The Mississippi State Bulldogs showcased an impressive offensive performance on their home turf. The passing game was particularly effective, with the quarterback achieving a rating of 167 and completing over 71 percent of his passes for a total of 246 yards and three touchdowns. The longest pass completed was for 36 yards, which also resulted in a touchdown. On the ground, the Bulldogs were just as formidable, rushing for a total of 194 yards and scoring two touchdowns; their longest rush was an impressive run of 33 yards.

The receiving corps played no small part in this offensive onslaught, catching passes for another combined total of 246 yards and securing all three passing touchdowns. Their efforts contributed significantly to achieving first downs through air attacks.

Special teams also had moments worth noting; kickoffs totaled eight with all resulting in touchbacks. This effectively neutralized any return threat posed by the Broncos' special teams unit.

Defensively, Mississippi State made its presence felt by sacking Western Michigan's quarterback twice and hitting him two additional times. They also managed to force one fumble during play while defending four passes successfully and intercepting one pass without allowing any return yardage from it.

Penalties were relatively low for both sides with only six against Mississippi State totaling up to just sixty-five penalty yards throughout the game.

Looking ahead after this solid performance at home, fans can anticipate watching their team again when they face off against Arkansas Razorbacks at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on October 21st at noon Eastern Time (11 AM local time). This upcoming contest will be broadcasted on ESPN network satellite channel number two hundred six where Bulldog supporters can follow all live-action as it unfolds.
