Game Highlights

The Bulldogs showcased moments of brilliance despite the tough loss. Quarterback Michael Van Buren Jr. completed 57 percent of his passes, throwing for 191 yards and securing one touchdown without any interceptions. His performance was a bright spot in an otherwise difficult game for Mississippi State.

Running back Davon Booth delivered an impressive performance on the ground with 124 rushing yards on just 12 attempts, averaging over 10 yards per carry and scoring one touchdown. His longest run stretched for an astounding 43 yards, highlighting his explosive potential.

On special teams, kicker Kyle Ferrie was perfect on the day, converting both field goal attempts with a long of 38 yards and maintaining a hundred percent kicking accuracy which contributed crucial points for the Bulldogs.

Defensive Efforts

Defensively, Stone Blanton stood out with three tackles and fifteen assists alongside one tackle for loss, showcasing his ability to be everywhere on the field. Safety Isaac Smith also made significant contributions with fourteen assists, demonstrating strong support in defensive coverage.

Despite these individual efforts, it wasn't enough to contain Missouri's offense which managed to put up thirty-nine points against Mississippi State's defense. The Bulldogs' defense faced challenges throughout the game but showed resilience against a potent Tigers' attack.

Looking ahead, Mississippi State will face Ole Miss Rebels at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford on November 29th at 3:30 PM EDT. Fans can catch this upcoming game broadcasted live on ABC as both teams vie for victory in this highly anticipated matchup.
