The Cornhuskers started strong out of the gate with an impressive first quarter, putting up 14 points against the Badgers' zero. This early lead was highlighted by a remarkable 58-yard touchdown pass and another rushing touchdown that broke free for an impressive 55 yards. The Nebraska offense showcased its versatility both through the air and on the ground.

Despite their initial momentum, Nebraska's offense was unable to put any points on the board during both second and third quarters while Wisconsin tallied up 17 points to take over. The fourth quarter saw only three more points added to Nebraska's side from a field goal. Their kicking game was split down the middle with one made field goal from within 39 yards but missing another from beyond that range.

Nebraska's defense managed two sacks contributing to nine lost yards for Wisconsin and four tackles for loss totaling seventeen negative yards against their opponents. However, they were unable to force any turnovers throughout this contest which could have been pivotal in such a tight game.

On special teams, punting efforts resulted in one ball landing inside the twenty-yard line out of five attempts with an average net yardage of about twenty-nine per punt. The return game was relatively quiet with only six punt return yards gained and twenty-three kickoff return yards on one attempt.

Offensively speaking, Nebraska accumulated nineteen first downs with eleven coming from rushing plays which accounted for most of their total yardage as they racked up one hundred ninety-five rushing yards over forty attempts. Their passing attack added another one hundred sixty-nine aerial yards but suffered two sacks along with an interception thrown by their quarterback who completed fifteen out of twenty-three passes thrown his way.

Penalties were kept relatively low as they committed seven infractions resulting in fifty-four penalty yards assessed against them throughout this matchup.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought battle at Camp Randall Stadium, fans can mark their calendars for November 24th when Memorial Stadium (Lincoln) will host its next football event featuring Nebraska Cornhuskers versus Iowa Hawkeyes at 5:00 PM local time. This upcoming game can be watched live on CBS where fans will surely be eager to see how their team performs following this recent outing.
