The Cornhuskers' defense was relentless throughout the game, recording three sacks and forcing one interception which was returned for 39 yards. The defensive unit also managed to recover one fumble while applying consistent pressure with four quarterback hits. On special teams, Nebraska blocked one kick contributing to their overall solid performance.

Offensively, Nebraska's ground game proved effective as they amassed 158 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns on foot; their longest rush being a notable 25-yard touchdown run. The passing attack added another dimension with an average of over six yards per attempt and a longest completion of 39 yards. However, they were unable to find the end zone through the air.

The kicking game for Nebraska was mostly successful with field goal kickers converting two out of three attempts; their longest successful field goal being from 32 yards out. Extra point attempts were flawless with two made kicks from two attempts.

Penalties did play a role for both sides as each team incurred ten penalties throughout the contest; however, it was not enough to significantly hinder Nebraska's progress as they maintained control of possession for over half an hour.

Looking ahead after this convincing win on artificial turf before nearly forty-seven thousand fans, the Cornhuskers will return home to face off against Northwestern Wildcats at Memorial Stadium (Lincoln, NE). Fans can catch this upcoming encounter on October 21st at approximately 2:30 PM local time broadcasted by BTN satellite channel number six hundred ten.
