In front of an impressive crowd of 87,115 spectators, the Nebraska Cornhuskers showcased a robust offensive performance against the Bulldogs. The Cornhuskers' running game was particularly effective, amassing a total of 312 rushing yards with an average gain per play standing at an impressive six yards. This ground dominance was highlighted by a spectacular 72-yard touchdown run, contributing to three rushing touchdowns for the day.

The passing game for Nebraska also contributed to their scoring efforts with one touchdown pass that covered 29 yards. Despite being sacked three times, the quarterback maintained a passer rating of approximately 113 and completed eight out of eighteen attempts. The receiving corps managed eight receptions totaling 107 yards and secured five first downs through aerial efforts.

Special teams played their part as well; although one field goal attempt was missed, all four extra point kicks were successful. The punt unit performed efficiently with six attempts averaging around forty-five yards per punt and five punts landing inside the twenty-yard line.

Defensively, Nebraska held strong throughout most of the game. They forced two fumbles and successfully intercepted one pass which they returned for three yards. Additionally, they defended against passes effectively on several occasions and limited penalty yardage to fifty-five across six infractions.

On the other side of the ball, despite their loss, Louisiana Tech's effort cannot go unnoticed as they put up fourteen points against a determined Nebraska defense. Their resilience saw them score in both second and fourth quarters but ultimately it wasn't enough to overcome Nebraska's lead.

Looking ahead for fans of the Cornhuskers: The next challenge will be facing off against Michigan Wolverines at Memorial Stadium (Lincoln, NE). This encounter is scheduled for September 30th at what would be around seven-thirty PM local time (Lincoln). Fans eager not to miss any action can tune into FOX network where this anticipated game will be broadcasted live from Lincoln.
