In a game that saw the Nevada Wolf Pack put up a valiant effort, it was ultimately not enough to overcome the dominant performance by the Western Michigan Broncos. The Wolf Pack managed to accumulate a total of 242 yards throughout the game, with an even split between rushing and passing yards, each contributing 121 yards to their offensive efforts. Despite their balanced attack, they were unable to match the scoring pace set by their opponents.

The Nevada team's efficiency was on display in critical areas; they boasted a perfect red zone percentage with four attempts and four successes. Similarly impressive was their goal-to-go efficiency, converting on both opportunities presented to them. However, third-down conversions proved more challenging for the Wolf Pack as they succeeded only three times out of eleven attempts.

On special teams, Nevada's punting unit had an average outing without any blocked punts or returns for touchdowns but maintained solid yardage across six attempts averaging nearly 49 yards per punt. In contrast, kickoffs did not yield any touchbacks from five attempts but did result in 128 return yards for Western Michigan.

Defensively speaking, Nevada managed one interception which they returned for one yard and defended five passes during the course of play while also recording one sack against Western Michigan's quarterback. Penalties were minimal from both sides as neither team exceeded ten infractions or reached a hundred penalty yards; Nevada incurred just three penalties totaling thirty-five yards.

The offense saw some individual highlights despite facing challenges from Western Michigan's defense which sacked them six times throughout the game. Their passing game completed twelve out of twenty-three attempts including one touchdown pass that went eighteen yards into the end zone. The rushing attack matched this output with two touchdowns on thirty-one carries; however, it was marred slightly by three tackles resulting in lost yardage.
