Can Nevada Wolf Pack's Savion Red Sprint Past Fresno State Bulldogs Again?

In a closely contested game at Mackay Stadium, the Nevada Wolf Pack faced off against the Fresno State Bulldogs, concluding with a score of 21-24 in favor of the visitors. The Nevada Wolf Pack now holds a 3-5 record for the season, while the Fresno State Bulldogs improved to 4-3. Nevada's Offensive Efforts


The game highlighted several standout performances from Nevada players, notably quarterback Brendon Lewis who threw for 158 yards with an impressive completion rate of 68 percent and contributed one touchdown. His longest pass was an eye-catching 55-yard throw that electrified fans at Mackay Stadium. On the ground, running back Savion Red emerged as a key player for Nevada, rushing for 56 yards on 13 attempts and scoring one touchdown. His agility and speed were crucial in breaking through Fresno State's defense.


Wide receiver Jaden Smith also made significant contributions by catching nine passes for a total of 134 yards, showcasing his ability to create openings and advance Nevada's offensive plays. Nate Burleson II added to the aerial attack with one reception that resulted in a spectacular 46-yard touchdown.


Defensive Standouts


On defense, Henry Ikahihifo stood out with two tackles and one sack for seven yards lost by Fresno State Bulldogs, demonstrating his defensive prowess by disrupting their offensive line. Drue Watts also made notable contributions with three tackles and played an integral part in limiting Fresno State’s advances.


Despite these individual efforts, it was not enough to secure victory against a determined Fresno State team that managed to edge out ahead by three points as time expired.
