New Mexico Lobos Fall to UNLV Rebels at University Stadium in American Football Showdown

The New Mexico Lobos, with a 3-6 record, faced off against the UNLV Rebels, who came into the game with a 7-2 record. The final score of the game stood at 14-56 in favor of the visiting team.

The New Mexico Lobos hosted the UNLV Rebels at University Stadium in Albuquerque. Despite their efforts, the Lobos could not contain the offensive onslaught of the Rebels. The home team managed to accumulate a total of 362 yards during the game, with 166 yards coming from their rushing efforts and an additional 196 yards through passing plays. The quarterback for New Mexico completed 17 out of 26 pass attempts and threw for one touchdown without any interceptions, finishing with a passer rating of approximately 141.


On special teams, New Mexico's punter had six attempts totaling 270 yards; however, none were blocked or returned for touchdowns. In terms of penalties, there were seven assessed against them resulting in a loss of sixty yards throughout the contest.


The Lobos' offense saw some success on third down conversions with a rate near thirty-three percent and was perfect in both red zone and goal-to-go situations. They scored two touchdowns—one passing and one rushing—with each being short-yardage plays under five yards.


Attendance for this week ten encounter was recorded at twelve thousand three hundred fifty-three fans who witnessed an aggressive Rebel offense that put up fifty-six points against New Mexico's defense which did not manage any sacks or interceptions throughout four quarters.
