The New Mexico Lobos demonstrated a strong offensive performance throughout the game. The team accumulated a total of 528 yards with an average gain of 7.3 yards per play. The rushing attack was particularly effective as the Lobos amassed an impressive 345 rushing yards on 51 attempts, achieving an average of nearly seven yards per carry. This ground dominance was highlighted by a remarkable touchdown run that covered half the field for a full 50 yards.

In addition to their rushing success, the New Mexico Lobos also made strides through the air. Their passing game accounted for one touchdown and contributed to six first downs from ten completions out of twenty-one attempts. Despite two interceptions thrown by the quarterback, he managed to maintain a passer rating just above one hundred seventeen.

Special teams played their part as well; the New Mexico Lobos were perfect in field goal attempts with two successful kicks from within thirty-nine yards and converted all extra point opportunities presented to them.

On defense, they were able to apply pressure on Fresno State's offense by recording two sacks for twenty-one lost yards and four tackles for loss totaling twenty-nine negative yardage against their opponents.

Penalties did play a role in this contest as well; eleven penalties were called against the New Mexico Lobos resulting in ninety-seven penalty yards but it did not deter them from securing victory over their hosts.

The home team Fresno State Bulldogs put up resistance but ultimately could not match up to their visitors' intensity or execution on this day. They utilized all three timeouts available during gameplay but could not capitalize enough on opportunities presented throughout each quarter despite scoring first and leading after one period.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought win, fans can anticipate another exciting game involving the New Mexico Lobos when they host Utah State Aggies at University Stadium (NM) located in Albuquerque on November twenty-fourth at eight-thirty PM local time (20:30). This upcoming event will be broadcasted live on CBS Sports Network via satellite channel two hundred twenty-one for those wishing to follow along from home or elsewhere.
