First Quarter

The opening quarter was a defensive stalemate as both teams struggled to find offensive rhythm. The Lobos' defense set the tone early by forcing three-and-outs and limiting the Rams' offensive opportunities. Daniel Hughes showcased his punting prowess with an impressive average of 47 yards per punt, pinning the Rams deep in their territory.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, New Mexico's offense began to click. Jack Layne led a methodical drive that culminated in D.J. McKinney's rushing touchdown from close range, putting the Pack ahead. Luke Drzewiecki added a field goal later in the quarter to extend their lead to 10-0 by halftime.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw a resurgence from Colorado State as they scored 10 unanswered points, tying up the game. However, New Mexico's defense remained resilient with Austin Brawley intercepting two passes and Caleb Coleman adding another interception that thwarted potential scoring drives by the Green and Gold.

Fourth Quarter

In a tense fourth quarter filled with pivotal moments, Jack Layne executed another successful drive resulting in his own rushing touchdown after breaking through for a long run of 12 yards. Drzewiecki sealed it with another field goal despite late pressure from Colorado State who managed one more touchdown before time expired.
