With precision passing, the Wolfpack completed over half their third-down attempts with an eight out of eighteen success rate.

The special teams unit for North Carolina State also played a role in field positioning as they executed punts that averaged over forty-two net yards each and placed five inside Florida State's twenty-yard line. Furthermore, kickoffs were strategically managed resulting in three touchbacks from five attempts.

Despite committing eight penalties totaling sixty-three yards against them, it did not significantly hinder their performance on either side of the ball. Additionally, they maintained possession for more than half the game time which helped establish their rhythm and keep Florida State's offense off-field.
