The Wolfpack's offense was on full display at Wayne Day Family Field at Carter-Finley Stadium as they amassed a total of 360 yards. The passing game was particularly effective; the quarterback achieved an impressive passer rating of 171 and completed 61 percent of his passes for four touchdowns and no interceptions. One pass went for an outstanding longest touchdown completion of 64 yards. The receiving corps also had a standout day, with the same player catching both the longest pass and scoring the longest touchdown.

On special teams, excitement peaked when the Wolfpack blocked one punt and returned another for a touchdown contributing to their five total touchdowns scored during the game. Their kick return unit also put up solid numbers with six returns totaling 140 yards.

Despite eight penalties costing them 56 yards, North Carolina State managed to maintain control throughout most of the game. They held possession for over half an hour and were perfect in red zone efficiency with their single attempt resulting in success.
