The passing attack was particularly potent, with quarterback play resulting in four touchdowns and an exceptional rating of nearly 200. A standout moment included a remarkable 57-yard completion, which tied for the longest play from scrimmage alongside another touchdown pass that covered half the field.

On defense, North Carolina managed to sack their opponents three times for a loss of 17 yards and forced two fumbles, showcasing their ability to disrupt plays behind the line of scrimmage. Despite these efforts, they were unable to secure any interceptions or recoveries from those fumbles.

This discipline allowed them not only to avoid giving up significant ground but also helped maintain momentum during critical phases of play.
