Special teams also played an integral role in this contest. The field goal unit successfully converted two out of three attempts with one being from beyond 39 yards out. Their kickoff team managed to pin down Duke within their own territory multiple times during the game.


The visiting Blue Devils put up a valiant effort despite falling short on points. They managed to keep fans on edge until late into fourth quarter but could not overcome The North Carolina defense which proved too formidable.
