At Ross-Ade Stadium, home of the Boilermakers, the Northwestern Wildcats demonstrated a balanced offensive attack that accumulated a total of 401 yards. The ground game was particularly effective for the Wildcats as they rushed for 166 yards and scored four touchdowns on 42 attempts. Their longest run was an impressive 46-yard dash.

Northwestern's passing game also contributed significantly to their offensive output. The quarterback threw for 235 yards with an accuracy rate of about 62 percent and completed key passes that resulted in eleven first downs. One notable pass completion went for a distance of forty yards.

The defense played an equally crucial role in securing this win for Northwestern. They sacked Purdue's quarterback twice and recorded eight sack yards in total while also intercepting three passes which they returned for forty-three yards combined.

Special teams were not left out of this collective team effort as they executed flawlessly on extra points, making all four attempts. Additionally, their field goal unit was perfect on the day with one made field goal from thirty-four yards out.

Penalties could have been problematic as six flags were thrown against them resulting in fifty-six penalty yards; however, it did not deter them from maintaining control throughout most of the game.

As fans look forward to future games, attention turns to Ryan Field where Northwestern will host Duke Blue Devils next week. This upcoming contest is scheduled for September eight at noon local time and will be broadcasted on ESPNU satellite channel two hundred eight. Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars and tune in or attend what promises to be another exciting game day experience.
