Special Teams and Offensive Efforts

On special teams, punter Luke Akers had an impressive game with seven attempts totaling 301 yards and managing to place three inside the 20-yard line. This performance was crucial in terms of field position throughout the contest. Offensively, A.J. Henning emerged as a key player for Northwestern with five receptions for 41 yards; his efforts represented some of the most effective plays from scrimmage by Northwestern in this matchup.
