Looking back at ND's last game against Stanford Cardinal on November 26th, it was a display of sheer dominance. The Fighting Irish crushed their opponents with an overwhelming score of 56-23. Their rushing game was particularly impressive, accumulating a staggering 381 yards and five touchdowns on the ground alone. This kind of performance is indicative of a team that knows how to exploit weaknesses and control the pace of the game.

However, it wasn't just their offense that shone; ND's defense also made significant contributions with four sacks and an interception return for a touchdown. Such defensive prowess will be crucial when facing the Beavers' attack.

In contrast, during their previous encounter with Wake Forest Demon Deacons on November 18th at Notre Dame Stadium, ND showcased their aerial abilities by throwing for five touchdowns in a commanding 45-7 victory. This versatility in offense means that Oregon State will have to prepare for both ground and air attacks.

Despite these strong performances, it would be unwise to overlook some areas where improvement is needed. In their loss against Clemson Tigers on November 4th at Memorial Stadium, turnovers were an issue for ND as they gave up three turnovers including two interceptions – one returned for a touchdown – which ultimately contributed to their defeat (31-23). Ball security will undoubtedly have been a focus in practice sessions leading up to this crucial match-up.

The key takeaway from analyzing past games is that when ND minimizes mistakes and maximizes possession time – as they did against Stanford – they are formidable opponents capable of overpowering any team.

With such compelling statistics from recent games combined with rigorous preparation tailored towards minimizing errors seen in past performances, there's every reason for fans to believe that Notre Dame Fighting Irish can emerge victorious once again when they take the field under El Paso’s lights.

The stage is set for December 29th at Sun Bowl Stadium where fans can catch all the action live on CBS starting at 7 PM ET. It promises to be an exciting end-of-year showdown between two determined teams vying for supremacy on the gridiron.
