Looking back at their recent performance on December 5 against Michigan State Spartans, OSU dominated with a staggering 52-12 victory. The offense was firing on all cylinders as they amassed 505 total yards, including an eye-popping 322 rushing yards. Their ground game was unstoppable, averaging nearly 7 yards per carry and punching in four touchdowns. This offensive prowess is not just about power; it's about efficiency too. With a red zone success rate of 100 percent against the Spartans and an overall third-down conversion rate of 50 percent, OSU has proven its ability to sustain drives and finish them off with points.

The defense also deserves its share of accolades. They racked up three sacks and forced multiple turnovers including two interceptions – one returned for a touchdown – showcasing their playmaking abilities. This defensive unit is not just about stopping opponents but also changing the momentum of games through aggressive plays.

On November 21 against Indiana Hoosiers, despite winning by only seven points (42-35), OSU demonstrated resilience under pressure which will be crucial when facing Northwestern's tenacious squad. Although they turned over the ball three times in this matchup, their ability to create big plays remained evident as they still managed to accumulate over 580 total yards.

Against Rutgers Scarlet Knights on November 8th, OSU continued their offensive onslaught scoring seven touchdowns leading to a comfortable win (49-27). Their quarterback displayed surgical precision with an astonishing completion percentage above 85 percent and throwing five touchdown passes without any interceptions.

However, it would be unwise to overlook Northwestern Wildcats' capabilities as they step onto the field at Lucas Oil Stadium. While much attention is rightfully given to OSU's dynamic offense and stout defense, NW brings its own brand of football that could pose challenges for any team.

The upcoming game scheduled for December 19 at Lucas Oil Stadium promises fireworks from both teams but based on recent performances; it seems like Ohio State Buckeyes have all tools necessary not only compete but potentially dominate this matchup if they maintain focus execute their game plan effectively without succumbing errors or penalties which have occasionally hindered them throughout season thus far.

Fans eager witness this exciting matchup can tune into FOX network catch all action live from Indianapolis starting at noon local time (5 PM GMT).
