Oklahoma Sooners Dominate at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Football Showdown Against Miners

The game took place at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, where an impressive crowd of 83,173 fans witnessed the Sooners' offensive unit amass a total of 492 yards. The team's rushing attack was particularly effective, contributing 259 yards to this tally. A standout moment was a remarkable 46-yard touchdown run which underscored their ground game dominance. In addition to their running success, the passing offense also made significant contributions with two touchdowns and an overall passing yardage of 233.


Defensively, the Sooners were just as imposing as they were on offense. They recorded six sacks for a loss of 46 yards and added seven tackles for loss totaling another loss of 44 yards for the Miners. The defensive pressure was relentless throughout the game with seven quarterback hits registered by the end of play.

Special teams also played a role in this comprehensive performance; all kickoffs by the Sooners resulted in touchbacks except one which landed inside the opponent's twenty-yard line. Furthermore, they achieved perfection in both field goal attempts and extra point kicks—maintaining a hundred percent success rate.


On penalties front, both teams managed to keep infractions relatively low with each committing seven penalties throughout four quarters; however neither crossed into excessive penalty yardage or counts that would have significantly impacted their respective games.
