At Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, the Oklahoma Sooners displayed an impressive performance on both sides of the ball. The offense accumulated a total of 332 yards with a balanced attack that saw them rush for 182 yards and pass for another 150 yards. The rushing efforts were led by an effective ground game that averaged almost four yards per carry across 47 attempts and included a touchdown from just four yards out.

The passing game was equally efficient, with two touchdowns contributing to their scoreline; one of these was an impressive longest completion of 41 yards which also resulted in a touchdown. Quarterback play was solid as reflected by their passer rating rounding to about 130 and completing nearly sixty percent of their passes.

Special teams also played their part perfectly; field goal kickers were flawless, converting both attempts they had during the game including one from beyond forty yards. Kickoff units managed to keep pressure on the Cyclones by ensuring four touchbacks out of six kickoffs.

Defensively, the Sooners were relentless as they intercepted three passes while returning them for thirty-seven total return yards. Their defensive line managed to sack Iowa State's quarterback once and recorded eight tackles for loss totaling thirty-seven negative yardage against their opponents.

The Cyclones struggled throughout but did manage to put up thirteen points on home turf. Their defense could not contain Oklahoma's multifaceted offense nor could they significantly disrupt their rhythm despite not allowing any blocked punts or punt returns for touchdowns.

As fans look ahead, they can mark their calendars for when the Oklahoma Sooners will face off against Baylor Bears at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman on November fifth at seven o'clock PM local time. This upcoming contest will be available for viewing on ESPN+. Fans are encouraged to continue supporting their team as they prepare to take on another challenge in front of a home crowd.
