Game Highlights

The Sooners' performance was marked by moments of potential overshadowed by missed opportunities. Quarterback Jackson Arnold completed 22 out of 31 pass attempts for 182 yards and contributed two touchdowns, showcasing his accuracy with a completion percentage of approximately 71 percent. However, the team struggled on the ground, managing an average of just over three yards per carry across fifty attempts for a total of 147 rushing yards.

On defense, Kip Lewis led with six tackles and one tackle for loss, embodying the team's defensive efforts. The special teams had notable contributions from Luke Elzinga who punted five times for an impressive average of nearly forty-six yards per punt, including one that landed inside the twenty-yard line.

Looking Ahead

Despite these individual performances and moments where they shined on both offense and defense, turnovers proved costly for Oklahoma. Two lost fumbles by Taylor Tatum and Jackson Arnold hindered offensive momentum at critical junctures in the game.

As they look forward to their next game against Maine Black Bears at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman on November 2nd at 2:30 PM EDT broadcasted on SEC Network+, fans are hopeful that lessons learned from this setback will translate into better execution on both sides of the ball.
