In a commanding display of football, the Oklahoma Sooners improved their season record to 5-4 after decisively defeating the Maine Black Bears with a final score of 59-14. Game Highlights

The game was marked by the Sooners' overwhelming rushing attack and stout defense. Jovantae Barnes led the charge on the ground with an impressive 203 yards on 18 carries, finding the end zone three times. His longest run of 74 yards was just one highlight in a day full of explosive plays for Oklahoma. Overall, the team amassed an astonishing 381 rushing yards and six touchdowns on ground plays.

Quarterback Jackson Arnold also had an efficient day passing, completing 71 percent of his attempts for 224 yards and two touchdowns. His connection with wide receiver J.J. Hester was particularly lethal; Hester racked up 112 receiving yards on four catches, including a breathtaking 90-yard touchdown that stood as the game's longest scoring play.

On defense, Oklahoma was just as dominant. The team tallied three sacks and seven tackles for loss while limiting Maine to only two scores throughout the contest. Robert Spears-Jennings made significant contributions on this side of the ball as well; not only did he force a fumble but he also recovered it, halting any momentum Maine tried to build.
