First Quarter

The opening quarter set the tone for what would be a dominant performance by the Sooners. John Mateer led the charge with precision passing that resulted in an early touchdown. His connection with Keontez Lewis was particularly effective; Lewis hauled in multiple receptions and contributed significantly to moving the chains for first downs.

Second Quarter

As play continued into the second quarter, Mateer's aerial assault remained relentless. He threw two more touchdowns before halftime, one of which was a spectacular long pass to Deion Burks that covered nearly half of the field. This offensive prowess helped extend their lead to 21-0 by halftime.

Third Quarter

Illinois State managed to put points on the board during this period through a field goal attempt after struggling against an aggressive Sooner defense led by Taylor Wein and Sammy Omosigho who combined for crucial sacks and tackles for loss. Despite these efforts from Illinois State's offense, they were unable to penetrate further into scoring territory due largely to Kip Lewis' defensive coverage.

Fourth Quarter

In response during final moments of playtime - Tory Blaylock’s rushing touchdown sealed any hopes left lingering among opposing fans while also showcasing depth within Boomer Sooner ranks across both sides ball alike! Meanwhile Jacob Ulrich demonstrated punting skills averaging over forty-seven yards per kick keeping opponents pinned back throughout match-up itself!
