Special teams played a pivotal role as well; the Cowboys executed flawlessly in the kicking game with field goals made from both within and beyond nineteen yards to contribute six points to their total score. Moreover, they showcased their explosive return capabilities when they ran back a kickoff for an impressive ninety-eight-yard touchdown.

Defensively, Oklahoma State was just as dominant. They recorded two sacks and six tackles for loss while limiting Baylor's offensive production significantly. Additionally, they forced three turnovers including two interceptions which they returned for eleven total yards.


The red zone efficiency was perfect for the Cowboys who capitalized on all five opportunities presented to them throughout the game by scoring each time they entered this critical area on the field.
