Oklahoma State Cowboys Face Setback Against Arizona State Sun Devils at Boone Pickens Stadium

In a week 10 showdown at Boone Pickens Stadium, the Oklahoma State Cowboys faced a challenging opponent in the Arizona State Sun Devils. The game concluded with the Cowboys falling to a 3-6 record for the season after a 21-42 defeat, while the Sun Devils improved their standing to 6-2. Despite an energetic home crowd of 52,202 fans, Oklahoma State struggled to match Arizona State's pace and efficiency on both ends of the field.

Game Highlights


The Cowboys' offense had moments of brilliance but couldn't consistently break through the Sun Devils' defense. Quarterback Alan Bowman led with 175 passing yards and contributed one touchdown pass but also threw an interception that hindered momentum. On the ground, Ollie Gordon II and Sesi Vailahi found some success; Gordon II rushed for a touchdown among his 25 yards on eleven carries, while Vailahi added another touchdown and totaled 21 yards over five attempts.


Defensively, Oklahoma State managed two sacks against Arizona State's quarterback but failed to force any turnovers which could have shifted game dynamics in their favor. Jaleel Johnson was notable on defense with one sack contributing to his total tackle count for the day alongside Kody Walterscheid who also recorded a sack.

Looking Ahead


Despite this setback, there were individual performances worth acknowledging. Brennan Presley stood out with five receptions totaling 29 yards and securing one touchdown which highlighted his pivotal role in Oklahoma's offensive strategy. De'Zhaun Stribling also made significant contributions by leading in receiving yards with seventy-seven off five catches.
