Special teams also contributed to this balanced effort as they achieved perfection in field goals with three made out of three attempts from within the range of twenty-nine yards each time. Additionally, kickoffs resulted in seven touchbacks on nine attempts.


On the other side, despite falling short on points against Oregon's robust offense and defense combination, Washington State Cougars put up strong resistance throughout all four quarters as reflected in their final tally.
