Game Highlights

The game unfolded with the home team taking an early lead by securing 14 points in the first quarter while keeping the Beavers scoreless. Despite a spirited effort from Oregon State in the second quarter that saw them putting up seven points against Boise State's seven, they couldn't close the gap. The third quarter featured a slightly better defensive performance from Oregon State as they limited Boise State to six points while managing to add three to their tally. However, any hopes of a comeback were dashed in the final quarter when both teams scored eight points apiece.

Oregon State's offense had moments of brilliance but struggled for consistency throughout the game. Quarterback Ben Gulbranson completed 21 out of his 37 attempts for a total of 226 yards and one touchdown pass. His performance was bolstered by wide receiver Darrius Clemons who made significant contributions with eight receptions for 123 yards and one touchdown.

On the ground, running back Anthony Hankerson showcased his talent by rushing for an impressive total of 110 yards on just eleven carries which included an electrifying longest run that resulted in an eighty-three-yard touchdown - marking one of few highlights for Oregon State during this matchup.

Defensive Efforts

Defensively, Oregon State had challenges containing Boise State's dynamic offense but managed some notable individual performances. Isaiah Chisom led his team with six tackles demonstrating resilience and determination on defense despite facing relentless pressure from their opponents.

Special teams also played their part; punter Josh Green averaged over forty-six yards across four punts helping to shift field position at crucial times during this contest. Kicker Everett Hayes successfully converted all his attempts including one field goal from thirty-seven yards out contributing valuable points for his team.

Despite these efforts and moments where individual talent shone through it wasn't enough to secure victory against a formidable Boise state side whose efficiency and execution ultimately determined outcome this day at Albertsons Stadium.

Fans are encouraged to share their thoughts on social media about how Oregon state can regroup and focus ahead next season after concluding regular season play.
